| Ah! The wonderful first ZTA formal I attended. We went with a fairly large group, as
you can easily see in the second photo.
| On the stairs from L to R, Me, Melissa,
some guy I don't remember, Becca Yarborough, Rebecca, Charles (he was
in my Min-Con seminar one year), Kelly Cleveland, and yet
another guy I don't remember. |
The formal was Dec. 1, 2000, after that everything
just started snowballing relationship-wise.

Hangin' out at Melissa's brother's (Henry) apartment in Plano shortly before I drive
back to Atlanta in Jan 2001. Despite the fact that it was her bro's apartment, I did
not meet him until Easter that spring. |
 |
| Fun times! Melissa came to spend Spring Break with me in Spring 2000. I
"surprised" her with a beard, which we whittled down to a goatee, then a
mustache (yow, that was bad), and finally nothing at all. For the record,
it itched, and she didn't like it, so I'm not likely to ever have a beard/goatee
on a permanent basis. |
 |
| Ah, yes. Melissa's 21st birthday. I surprised her by flying into Waco and
chasing her down on campus. And, yes, it was a surprise - she ran away screaming
as soon as she saw me (but came back quickly, thank goodness). I really thought
it was ruined the night before. I was ironing a shirt and she started teasing me
that I was doing it because I was going to go see her - which was, in fact, exactly
right, but I couldn't tell HER that. Luckily, she didn't honestly suspect.
Notice in this picture she is stealing my cheesecake. That I actually let her take
food from me must mean I really DO love her. |

| Spring Formal 2001. |
 |
| This was after the graduation of her brother's-not-at-the-time-but-soon-to-be
fiancee. |
 |
| One of several trips during the summer of 2001. I think this was probably around the
4th of July. Melissa is holding Meredith, and in front of her are Aidan, and behind him,
Kiel. Dad is holding Aili. The cow is eating cubes. |
 |
| Aili Edwards, a little over 1 yr old, kindly
imparts Melissa with a little of her extensive doll knowledge. |
 |
| And these ladies get to look forward to an entire lifetime of this! |
 |
 |
| I just wish I hadn't been sick that weekend! |
Easily the most expensive photograph on the page! |
